Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “Centenary of the Founding of Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau” on 23th Novembro, 2023. Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau, formerly known as Kiang Wu Nursing and Midwifery School, is a subsidiary of Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association. It was founded in the autumn of 1923, and has been in operation for a century. The College has received international and national recognition for its management and teaching quality, and has successfully completed Institutional Accreditation conducted by the prestigious Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) of the United Kingdom. It is also an Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) programme provider. Moreover, the College has had Nursing Education Accreditation conducted by the Motherland’s Higher Education Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education.

This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet. The themes of the stamps are “A Century of Education”, “Cultural Heritage”, “From Personhood to Benevolence” and “Integrating into the Greater Bay Area and National Construction”, with the number “100” used as the background image. The souvenir sheet includes the emblematic staircase of the former school “Cheng-Kai Memorial Hall” in the background, and illustrates the old and new school buildings on the sides, and also nursing students wearing uniforms from different eras in the stamp, representing the development of the College over a hundred years.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.). The mail service for the philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark of this issue will be available on the issue date at the above locations.
